Candy Corn Cookies

I have a love/hate relationship with Pinterest. I love all the great things that I find...hate that I don't have time to do them! A lot of the time I feel like everyone else is more creative and has more time than me! I actually found time to make something this weekend and had to share! It turned out to be easier and tastier than I thought!

After you mix the cookie dough together, you separate it into three stacks and color two of them--one orange, one yellow, and the other leave white.

Stack them in a bread pan and place in freezer for an hour. I used saran wrap so it wouldn't stick.

Take the frozen cookie dough and cut in to candy corn pieces. Cook in the oven!

Halloween Word Work Pack

I have made the same mistake this year as last. I bought our Halloween candy already and now I am steadily eating and will for sure run out again before Halloween. After eating an amount of Recess that I will not reveal I had a great sugar high to start working. We had so many math activities we thought we needed some word work activities! This short packet has scramble sentences, syllables sorting, and nouns, verbs, and adjectives. We hope you enjoy!

There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat!

I have to admit the There Was an Lady set of books are not my favorite. Yes, I said it. However, the kids always love them so for every holiday there is one I read it.  I love this time of year because everything can be so much fun and so cute because it can start to go with the holidays. Enjoy!

Did Someone Say Halloween

Now that my son is 3 holidays that were fun before are being taken to a whole new level of fun. He has insisted we already get his Halloween costume and this year it HAD to be Spiderman. This has nothing to do with teaching but I just thought it would be fun! I am sure all your kiddos at home and in the classroom are getting ready to dress up so I just had to share! We will have to figure out how to straighten out his mask and hopefully loss the runny nose!

Character Pumpkin Project

Send this home for a fun at home project! Our librarian would let us display these pumpkins in the library. It was a great decoration for the fall season.

Teacher Survey

Most of us our moms and our little ones have teachers too. I had SO many wonderful parents in my room over the years. Some of them would send in something similar to this paper. I would fill it out and all year receive fun little treats. There's nothing better than receiving a surprise Sonic drink to start your morning!
